CRISIS CARE MINISTRY (Led by Pam Weller)

All of our lives are filled with change, which can lead to joy, gladness, rejoicing, but also it sometimes leads to sadness, sorrow, hardship, or pain. Our heavenly Father, His son, Jesus, and His counselor, the Holy Spirit, provide us the means to walk both the paths of joy and grief in a healthy, godly manner. The difficulty comes when a loss that really impacts and hurts us becomes a part of a crisis that overwhelms and immobilizes us.

Death of a loved one is not the only change that can be counted as a loss or that can throw us into a tailspin. We all suffer losses with every change in our lives, but when we are aware that the path before us can be walked easier by our response to loss, we are in a better place. We can choose to see a crisis as a threat, a loss or a challenge…a time for growth, a time to learn more about God. When we have brothers and sisters, who will lovingly reach out to us, walk beside us, supporting us through the changes, we will experience the comfort God provides us. It is said, “Joys shared are multiplied while sorrows shared are divided.”

The CRISIS CARE MINISTRY seeks to help by being the bridge over the troubled waters & the turbulence in life when change, loss or crisis come to each of us. Our prayer is that we will be of help & comfort to others in the way God would have us…to be His heart, ears, voices, hands, arms, & feet for them as they walk the pathway of pain.

“Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God.” 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 NIV

World Bible School

WBS is one of the Christian brotherhood's most proven, cost-effective means of spreading the Gospel to a lost world! God uses WBS by linking a worldwide network of Christians, missionaries and churches to teach and reach truth-seekers, bringing them into God's family. Everyday Christians of all ages-equipped with WBS correspondence courses-help teach those who want to study. Much like spiritual pen-pals, they provide the lessons to the students, encourage them, guide them to respond to the Gospel, and help put them in touch with loving Christians near them.
